The Cadastre, the Central Register, and the State Office for Industrial Property have reduced their fees by 50 percent. Registering a company in Macedonia will now cost €42, by far the least expensive in the region.

Additionally, the customs office has done away with several unnecessary procedures, thus cutting administrative fees totalling over €4,000.

“These are the first results from the regulatory guillotine, which will continue with concrete measures to simplify and shorten doing business procedures in Macedonia,” said Mr. Zoran Stavreski, deputy prime minister in charge of economic affairs. These measures are aimed at improving the overall business climate in the country, he added.
